Skinny Pelembe is an artist who was born in Johannesburg, raised in Doncaster and creates wonderful folk music, dipped in earthy psychedelia and dazzling electronics. He returns with new energetic single 'Oh Silly George' contrasting last year's piano-based single 'Like A Heart Won't Beat'. Skinny Pelembe has enlisted drum whizz Malcom Catto on the new single, where jumbled drums overlap with gameboy synth sounds, and Skinny Pelembe's tranquil vocals are arranged in layers. Skinny Pelembe's guitar channels elements of afro-beat whilst the electronics create a chaotic whirlpool of sound.
